WeeCycled Wear’s spring consignment sale returns this weekend
It’s time to restock the closet – and maybe the entire house – at WeeCycled Wear’s spring consignment sale.
The sale is March 22 – 24 at the Greenville Convention Center. Rachel Lambert became the owner of the sale last year. It has served the Upstate for about 18 years, starting small but growing to include almost everything except adult clothes.
“We have so many things,” Lambert said. “It’s like a giant yard sale that hundreds of people bring stuff to.”
But it’s a yard sale with an exception: the items are screened in advance.
“People drop stuff off on Monday or Tuesday (March 18 or 19),” Lambert said. “We have a team of people that check all the items. We do check the quality before allowing it to be in the sale.”
The spring sale includes children’s clothing from infant to junior sizes, shoes, books, toys, household items, furniture, sports equipment and more.
Volunteers earn the right to shop early and they can also earn increased percentages of their sales by volunteering for more shifts.
“We are offering up to 80 percent of their sales if they volunteer,” Lambert said.
Consignors can enter their items online and print tags with barcodes. Lambert said the system for signing up and uploading items will be open until Tuesday afternoon, March 19.
New parents and grandparents who are expecting or who have a child or grandchild age 1 or younger, also have the opportunity to shop early. Online registration is required.
“It doesn’t have to be your first kid,” Lambert said. “’New’ doesn’t mean your first time being a mom.”
